Nyack Seniors Give Back for Thanksgiving

Teens to hold dinner for local seniors

's oldest students are celebrating Thanksgiving with Nyack's elderly residents today.

In the school's cafeteria tonight, village senior citizens will be honored and treated to a feast from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. in what has become "a Nyack tradition," in the words of school officials.

Students, staff and parents will cook up November fare with the help of donations and local businesses. There will be music and dancing, too—the Jazz Band is slated to perform.

In a press release, Nyack Schools invite each local senior to partake. "All community seniors are invited to this much looked forward to event, which successfully bridges the generations while sharing the warmth of the holiday," it reads.
