Whatever FEMA gives us in aid Dr. Joel Klien you already have it spent. Next year our budget will goRead More up again like it does every year. It does not matter how much federal money is given to us.
Michael Pointing of United Water addresses the Orangetown Town Board May 21, 2013.

Divinys comments were outrageous and offensive to United Water who has provided clean water to ourRead More Community for generations at very reasonable cost. The DEC says we are running out of water and MANDATED UW to address it. They have spent over $45 Million to do this and are getting attacked by the Otown Town Board because of tbeir obscession wiyh Hasidim expansion caused by the unethical and illegal conduct of their own political oarty, the Democratic party of st Lawrence, Schoenberger and Cornell, NOT United Water who has been an excellent corporate citizen. This is a disgrace perpetuated by the Marxist leaning Enviro group led by George Pontovic who BOUGHT AND PAID for a study to make their point under the guise that their study was independent work. It is disengenuous and dishonest. I have trusted the DEC and United Water to provide my family with clean pure drinkable washable flushable water for 40 years and I fo not want to turn that task over to a bunch of disjonest politicians or a Marxist Whacko Enviro Group.

Resolutions such as calling for the issues conference are non binding, however allow the residentsRead More to know how our elected leaders stand on important topics. While I am sure many who oppose the issues conference simply want to stop the desal plant from being built, many others have raised legitimate questions which deserve answers. I fully support the desal plant and applaud UW for being proactive. With the announcement of Bloomberg coming to Orangetown our water supply requirements will continue to go up. Dennis W. Restricting water to control growth is crazy. It sounds like something China would do to punish orRead More control one of its comunities. So our governments, zoning , and planning boards are so corrupt we have to maintain a dangerously low supply of water to control them ? Nonsense. This is just the latest tactic by the folks who have made it their cause to stop the plant for no good reason but to show what a powerfull lobby they are. When it comes to the quality of Hudson water or the effect on wild life the enviro groups know, if you keep telling the same lie over and over again people will start to believe it

I guess better late than never. LaCorte is serving his 4th year as Mayor and was Trustee for I thinkRead More 4 years before that. This year is the only time he has brought the idea to the village about participating in this program. He is motivated by the opportunity of getting positive press for his County Executive campaign. The village should have been involved in this program ( as well as the Americorps program) long before this. On a positive note, hopefully the Village will continue this worthwhile partnership for many years to come.
