After a series of burdensome snow storms, Nyack Schools used up one extra day than allotted for snow days. Originally slated to be made up Monday, April 25, the snow day will now be made up Friday, March 18.
The Nyack School Board decided to change the date because March 18 is less disruptive to students, parents and staff, they said. Should there be another snow day, it will be made up on April 25.
"Families are advised to contact their child's teacher if family plans will prevent a child from being in school that day," said Gail Fleur, the district's director of communications. "Faculty have been asked to provide students with any work they missed that day."
