On Friday, Nyack's downtown will get a festive bedecking—5 p.m. marks the . There will be caroling, hot chocolate and a performance by 's chamber orchestra, too.

Piermont's tree lighting is the following day, Saturday, Dec. 3. The fete will kick off at 6 p.m. at M&T Bank. Several galleries and restaurants will be open late, and residents can bring non-perishable food for a donation drive.
