Readers' Choice: Rockland Staycations

Patch wants to know your favorite local place to unwind

Sometime a vacation isn't quite worth it when packaged with pricey airline tickets, confounding itineraries and lengthy car rides.

So: Patch wants to know your favorite place to stay local when relaxing. Because a vacation doesn't mean travelling miles away from home.

Here are some popular places to start:

  • (Upper Nyack)
  • Historic Tappan daytrip (Tappan)
  • (Nanuet)
  • (Pearl River)

Check off your favorite place—and if we left out your favorite, let us know in the comments.

Voting in the poll below is open until 9 a.m. Friday. Ties will be broken by whichever business has the most positive comments in the section below. We will announce the winner at noon Friday.

--

A note on voting: because this poll is not scientific, it is not the sole consideration in choosing a winner. The winner will be determined by the Patch editor, based on poll results and reviews on Patch Places. Please vote only once per survey, per Patch.

I guess better late than never. LaCorte is serving his 4th year as Mayor and was Trustee for I thinkRead More 4 years before that. This year is the only time he has brought the idea to the village about participating in this program. He is motivated by the opportunity of getting positive press for his County Executive campaign. The village should have been involved in this program ( as well as the Americorps program) long before this. On a positive note, hopefully the Village will continue this worthwhile partnership for many years to come.
