Upper Nyack Prepares for Village Elections

The position of mayor and two trustees are up for grabs

Upper Nyack is gearing up for its March elections, in which the positions of mayor, trustees and village justice are available.

The elections are slated for March 15; the mayor and two trutees are running uncontested. There will be a battle for the village justice position, however. Voting takes place at from noon to 9 p.m. (Voters must register with the Rockland County Board of Elections by March 4.)

MAYOR (one-year term)

  • R. Michael Esmay, Bell Tower Party (incumbent)

TRUSTEE (two individuals to be elected for two two-year terms)

  • Vincent S. Morgan, Bell Tower Party (incumbent)
  • Jeffrey S. Hindin, Bell Tower Party (incumbent)

VILLAGE JUSTICE (four-year term)

  • Duncan R. Lee, Republican Party
  • Harold MacCartney, Bell Tower Party (incumbent)
