Eight years in the making, gets underway this summer with the reconstruction of Main Street, enhancing the community’s quality of life, as well as being
an economic driving force.
Carol Fleischmann, Chair of the Streetscape Committee under Friends of the Nyacks, will host the official ground-breaking ceremony on Saturday, June 4 at 2 p.m. at the corner of Franklin St. & Main St.
On Monday, June 6, at 8:00 a.m., reconstruction of the sidewalks along Main St. will begin. The project will be done in sections to allow for business as usual.
Merchants will provide visitors with special events, sales, music, food and an all around good time throughout the facelift. Look for a “Bulldozer Burger,” hard hats, deconstructed specials and more.
