Boy Allegedly Shot Student With BB Gun
West Nyack youth faces a felony charge, authorities say
A West Nyack boy is accused of firing a BB gun at a student Tuesday afternoon and hitting him, said.
The boy—who is younger than 16, and whose name police did not release—allegedly struck the student in the hand with a BB at around 3 p.m. on Germonds Road. The victim was out running for the track team.
Sgt. James Fey said the accused youth was released without arraignment and without bail, since he is a minor. "To the best of my knowledge, the BB gun was confiscated," Fey added.
