Nyack Man Charged with Marijuana Possession in Piermont

He was initially pulled over for using his cell phone.

A Nyack man was issued a summons in Piermont Wednesday for unlawful possession of marijuana. 

Piermont police pulled the man over on Route 9W at about 6:25 p.m. for using a cell phone while driving. After the officer approached the vehicle, the man was found to be in possession of marijuana.

The man has been charged with using a cell phone while driving and unlawful possession of marijuana. Earlier in the day, two teens from Croton on Hudson and Valley Cottage were also charged with possession of marijuana, a misdemeanor, by State Police.
