  • Christian Haggerty of West Nyack earned a bachelor of arts in communications from Quinnipiac University on May 20
  • Melanie L. Kartzmer of West Nyack received a bachelor of arts in political science during May commencement ceremonies at the University of Vermont
  • Jeffrey Grossbard of Piermont received a bachelor of arts degree at Skidmore College
  • Melanie Kartzmer of West Nyack was inducted into the Alpha Kappa Delta National Honor Society during honors day ceremonies conducted by the Sociology Department at the University of Vermont earlier this spring
  • Saint Augustine's College recently admitted more than 1,300 applicants for its fall 2012 semester, including Keana Outlar of Nyack.
  • Nyack High School's mock trial team finished first in the state's finals this week. Teacher Kevin Sullivan and attorney-coach Dr. Duncan Rogers Lee II coached students their first state victory.
