A handful of local construction workers are petitioning the Bannett Group, the design and building company carrying out the project. The Bannett Group is employing workers from places like southern New Jersey, and not local professionals.

"There are people here in this county that need employment," said one petitioning construction worker who asked not to be named. "They live here, they shop here, they pay taxes here."

The petitioners are accompanies by several signs and the towering, twelve-foot rodent.
