Camp Nyack Wraps Up, Looks Back

Camp helped over 100 local, needy children during summer months.

Despite a summer of menacing heat and a week-long water issue, Camp Nyack went off without so much as a hitch, officials said.

Nyack's subsidized, six-week day-camp for underprivileged youth hosted 92 campers—and over 70 were on full scholarship. The kids were able to bowl, swim, hit the movie theater and take excursions throughout Rockland.
