Blogging Comes to Nyack Patch

Got something to say? Patch.com is adding a platform for local bloggers on May 4

Beginning May 4, Nyack-Piermont Patch will be making room for local bloggers on the site.

We're looking for residents who can riff on various topics, share their personality and engage our readers. Write about people you meet downtown, share photos you take or discuss your favorites local haunts. If you have insights, opinions or anecdotes about Nyack and Piermont, we want you on board.

And if you're a professional in the villages, we want to hear from you, too. Tell us what it's like to run a small business; why you're involved in local politics; what's happening at the libraries. Elected officials, restaurateurs, photographers and volunteers can all blog—tell us about your experiences.

This isn't a reporting job. It's blogging. You write what you want to say when you want to say it. Do it on your schedule, whether that's posting multiple entries per day or a couple times a month.

Patch won't own what you post, so you can repost your entries to your other blogs. Much like The Huffington Post has done, Patch is providing local bloggers an online platform to have their words seen by a larger audience.
