Who Runs Rockland County Food Pantries?

The recent on petit larceny charges for allegedly stealing food and other items from the food pantry operated by the town sent shockwaves through the community.

While it is run by the town, the Harrison pantry accepts donations from the public and local organizations.

Of the dozens of other food pantries in Rockland and Westchester counties, all are run by churches and non-profits that accept donations of food and money from the public and community organizations. Some pantries also receive a small amount of government funding.
