To help replenish the community's dwindling blood and platelet supply, Rockland County will sponsor a daylong blood drive from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday at the Dr. Robert L. Yeager Health Center, Building A, Exhibition Hall in Pomona.
- Breakfast and lunch will be served to those who donate.
- Walk-ins are always welcome.

"Due to the cold, snowy weather this winter, the New York Blood Center is in need of healthy donors," said County Executive Ed Day in a press release. "We encourage residents, who are able to do so, to donate blood for a good cause. It is important that in the event of an emergency, we are prepared to help those in need."
