Mother Nature's Fireworks Show in Nyack

Hundreds treated to second show shortly after fireworks end

Mother Nature treated the viewers of last night's Nyack Fireworks to her own show.

A few hundred people stayed at Memorial Park and the Nyack Boat Launch along the Hudson River and watched in amazement as Mother Nature lit up the night's sky. The second show lasted until around 11 p.m.

I'd say lightning storms trump fireworks. Brian, thanks for sharing the awesome photos!

As I was watching the Nyack fireworks, the lightning storms seemed to be a counterpoint to the rockets' red glare. Fireworks go off, then lightning goes off.... quite a show.
