Inspire Nyack Hosts Fifth Annual Casino Night
The event raised money for educational enrichment programs in Nyack the district
In the past four years, Inspire Nyack’s Casino Night has raised more than $200,000 for the Nyack School District.
Saturday night at the Nyack Seaport, the group hosted the fifth Casino Night in hopes of raising that figure even higher. The night featured card and table games, a Texas Hold ‘Em tournament and a silent auction featuring more than 30 auctions for things like trips, deals with local businesses, signed sports memorabilia and tickets to professional sporting events.
Annie Hekker Weiss, a member of the foundation, said the group has raised money for robotics programs in science, technology and math programs at the elementary, middle and high school levels.
“It’s a really great night for a great cause,” she said.
