Unintended Consequences

The Friends of the Library at St. Thomas Aquinas College presents Nina Rosenblum, Oscar-nominated and Emmy award-winning documentary filmmaker.  Rosenblum will show her short film Unintended Consequences about the "Mothers of the NY disappeared," who protested the Rockefeller mandatory drug laws, and excerpts from her documentary film Lock-Up: The Prisoners of Rikers Island. She will discuss the differences between making independent films vs. films for HBO and answer questions.

The Friends of the Library at St. Thomas Aquinas College organizes and sponsors lectures in the library by notable speakers from within and outside the College. All lectures are open to the community. Community members interested in joining The Friends of the Library, participating in Friends activities, or making donations to the College designated for The Friends of the Library may contact Ms. Mary Anne Lenk, Director of Library Services at 845-398-4221 or mlenk@stac.edu.
