The Piermont Pier reopened Tuesday for the first time since Hurricane Sandy.
According to Piermont Police Chief Michael O'Shea, the pier is open for business as usual, but the North Shore Walkway in Piermont remains closed until further notice.
Piermont Police had put out multiple reminders to stay off Piermont Pier until conditions were safe, even having the highway department put up additional fencing to keep people out until it was ready to reopen.
