Child Safety Seat Inspection

Before you hit the road for summer trips  have your child’s safety seat checked.

There's a free safety seat check on Tuesday May 22, 2:30 – 6:30 pm, at the Jan & Niles Davies Learning Center parking lot at Helen Hayes Hospital in West Haverstraw.

The Jan & Niles Davies Learning Center is partnering with
Haverstraw Town Police Department, Stony Point Police Department and local CPS technicians for this child safety seat check.

Technicians will be checking the condition and installation of seats, as well as potential recall status, and will arrange for alternate safety seat if necessary.

Appointments not required, but pre-registration appreciated to ensure adequate staffing.

I guess better late than never. LaCorte is serving his 4th year as Mayor and was Trustee for I thinkRead More 4 years before that. This year is the only time he has brought the idea to the village about participating in this program. He is motivated by the opportunity of getting positive press for his County Executive campaign. The village should have been involved in this program ( as well as the Americorps program) long before this. On a positive note, hopefully the Village will continue this worthwhile partnership for many years to come.
