[UPDATE] Nyack NAACP Candidates Forum Cancelled

Pre-election gathering scrapped because of lingering problems from Hurricane Sandy.

UPDATE (2 p.m. Wednesday) - The candidates night forum planned by the Nyack NAACP at Clarkstown Town Hall in New City has been cancelled because of the lingering problems throughout the community from Hurricane Sandy.

The Nyack branch of the NAACP has invited candidates in the Nov. 6 election to speak and take questions at a public forum set for Nov. 1 in New City.

The forum, scheduled to run from 7 to 9:30 p.m., is at Clarkstown Town Hall, 10 Maple Ave.

The forum is hosted by Nyack NAACP President Frances Pratt and moderated by Patch Regional Editor Bill Demarest.
