Worker Accused of Stealing Cash from Store

Police: Nearly $2,000 believe stolen over two months at Macy's in West Nyack.

A worker at a West Nyack department store is accused in the theft of nearly $2,000 from the store over the past two months, according to Clarkstown police.

Folaskye Pierre-Louis, 25, of Spring Valley was arrested after store security staff at Macy's at Palisades Center mall reported seeing him remove a $20 bill from a cash regisater and put it into his pocket at about 10:25 p.m. on Friday. It is believed that Pierre-Louis is responsible for stealing about $1,980, police said.

Pierre-Louis is charged with fourth-degree grand larceny and fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property. He was released pending an Oct. 10 hearing in Clarkstown Town Court in New City.

I guess better late than never. LaCorte is serving his 4th year as Mayor and was Trustee for I thinkRead More 4 years before that. This year is the only time he has brought the idea to the village about participating in this program. He is motivated by the opportunity of getting positive press for his County Executive campaign. The village should have been involved in this program ( as well as the Americorps program) long before this. On a positive note, hopefully the Village will continue this worthwhile partnership for many years to come.
