West Nyack FD Quickly Tames Mall Dumpster Fire

Central Nyack FD was called in for mutual aid. No injuries were reported

 

A little after 6 p.m. on Friday night, West Nyack Fire Department was called to put out a dumpster fire in front of Bed Bath and Beyond at the Palisades Center.

The fire was quickly extinguished. There was mutual aid called in from Central Nyack FD. Clarkstown Police, Congers-Valley Cottage Ambulance Corps and Rockland Paramedics were also at the scene.

West Nyack FD said that the call came in at 6:21 p.m. and that they left and got back in about an hour so the fire was contained fairly quickly. Clarkstown Police said that there were no injuries reported.
