Valley Cottage Man Charged With DWI in Nyack

Police: Car stopped for moving erratically.

A Valley Cottage man who was spotted driving erratically on Route 9W in Nyack is charged with driving while intoxicated, according to the Rockland County Sheriff's Department.

Robert Wolf, 25, of Valley Cottage was stopped by a Sheriff's officer on Route 9W at 3:12 a.m. on Sunday. Police said Wolf appeared intoxicated and was charged with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor.

Police also said they discovered Wolf's driver's license had been revoked in connection with a previous arrest. Wolf was charged with first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a felony.

Wolf was taken to the Rockland County Sheriff's Headquarters in New City and later released pending a hearing Thursday in Nyack Village Court.
