Valley Cottage Man Charged with DWI in Nyack

Car stopped on Mountainview Avenue.

A Valley Cottage man was charged with drunk driving after he was stopped by police on Mountainview Avenue, according to Orangetown Police.

James E. Crouch, 39, 0f Sierra Vista Drive was stopped by police about 8:56 p.m. on Friday. Police said Crouch failed field sobriety tests and at police headquarters in Orangeburg refused to take a chemical breath test for alcohol.

Crouch was charged with driving while intoxicated and faces a Jan. 15 hearing in Nyack Village Court.
