Smoke From Warehouse Fire In Orange County Visible from Rockland, Westchester

More than 150 firefighters battling blaze.

Smoke from a huge warehouse fire in Orange County is drifting south, with the effects of the blaze visible from Rockland and Orange Counties.

Rockland County Fire and Emergency Services Director Gordon Wren Jr. said Stony Point volunteer firefighters are on standby to assist Cornwall firefighters in case they need help with other emergencies. Wren said a large warehouse in a former mill complex has been burning since around 10:30 this morning.

Wren said he could see the smoke from New City, and others reported seeing the smoke from as far south as Valley Cottage.
