Police: South Nyack Man Accused of Sexual Abuse Of A Child

48-year-old ordered held in the county jail on $15,000 bail.

A South Nyack man is accused of sexual abuse of a child under the age of 11, according to South Nyack-Grand View police.

Police said Todd Retallack, 48, was arrested 6 p.m. Wednesday and was arraigned in South Nyack Justice Court by Judge D.E.A. Lynch, who ordered Retallack held in the Rockland County Correctional Facility in New City on $15,000 bail.

Retallack is charged with first-degree sexual abuse, a felony, and endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor. The next court hearing for Retallack would be June 6 in South Nyack, however, the case would move to Rockland County Court in New City if he is indicted in connection with the charges before that date.

Police said the investigation is continuing and that the charges stem from incidents in South Nyack dating back as far as 2009.

Retallack is self-employed in the computer graphics business.
