Two men have been arrested in separate incidents in Clarkstown and Orangetown, according to State Police based at the Haverstraw barracks.
- Joseph J. Beninato, 24, of Mount Vernon, was arrested at 11:45 p.m. Friday on charges of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor, and possession of a hypodermic needle, a misdemeanor, in an incident on Route 59 in Clarkstown. He was released pending a Clarkstown Town Court hearing.
- Terayus Jones, 34, of Brooklyn, was arrested at 1:45 a.m. today on the southbound Palisades Interstate Parkway in Orangetown on a felony drunken driving charge. He is also charged with false personation, a misdemeanor, first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a felony, and reckless driving, a misdemeanor.
He was being held pending an Orangetown Town Court hearing in Orangeburg.
