Police: 3 Charged With DWI In Nyack, New City, Nanuet

Holiday weekend patrols lead to arrests.

Three people have been charged with drunken driving over the holiday weekend in New City, Nyack and Nanuet, according to the Rockland County Sheriff's Department.

Charged are:

— Blythe Wallace, 27, of Valley Cottage, who was stopped for driving erratically on Route 59 in Nyack at 2:26 a.m. today. Police said Wallace was found to be intoxicated and was taken to the Sheriff's Headquaters in New City and then charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated for having a blood alcohol content of .18 percent or more. Wallace was later released pending a Dec. 6 hearing in Nyack Village Court.

— Tamir Joseph-Roscoe, 20, of Nyack, who was who was stopped for driving erratically on Route 59 in Nyack at 2:53 a.m. today. Police said Joseph-Roscoe was found to be intoxicated and was taken to the Sheriff's Headquaters in New City and then charged with driving while intoxicated. Joseph-Roscoe was later released pending a Dec. 5 hearing in Clarkstown Town Court in New City.

— Ramses Rivas, 18, of Thiells, who was who was stopped for driving erratically at Middletown Road and Parkway in New City at 1:53 a.m. Saturday. Police said Ramses Rivas was found to be intoxicated and was taken to the Sheriff's Headquaters in New City and then charged with driving while intoxicated. Ramses Rivas was later released pending a Dec. 5 hearing in Clarkstown Town Court in New City.

In another alcohol-related incident, the Sheriff's Department said Denis Garcon, 20, of Lauderdale, FL, was stopped at 6:05 a.m. Thursday at Route 45 and New Hempstead Road in Ramapo after he was seen driving erratically. Garcon was found to have consumed alcohol illegally — New York's drinking age is 21. He was issued a ticket for operating a vehicle after consuming alcohol/under 21.
