Hundreds stood out by the curbside along Midland Avenue in Upper Nyack, Main Street and Boardway in Nyack. More than 30 fire departments marched in the annual Nyack Fire Department's Chiefs Inspection Parade.
Judges reviewed the fire departments participating in the parade, with trophies awarded to the best units.
The parade is part of a Nyack tradition that honors the chief of the all-volunteer fire department. Overseeing the parade from the reviewing area will be Nyack Fire Department Chief James Petriello.
