Orangetown Police Make Felony DWI Arrest in Pearl River

Kenneth Fairweather, 47, of Pearl River was arrested by Orangetown Police and charged with felony DWI Sunday.

Orangetown Police officers responded to a report of a man passed out at the wheel of a 2007 GMC Yukon in the middle of Forest Ave. in Pearl River at approximately 6:53 p.m. Sunday. According to police, they found Fairweather at the wheel and unresponsive. He had his foot on the break, the engine was running and the vehicle was in drive. They also found several open bottles of liquor in the car. 

Fairweather was reportedly unable to stand on his own and he was taken to Nyack Hospital by the Pearl River Ambulance Corps and he submitted to a blood test while he was there. 

Fairweather has been arrested twice before for DWI by Orangetown Police, Dec. 7, 2012 and Dec. 21, 2012. This time he was charged with felony DWI due to a DWI conviction in March 2013. He was also charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Vehicle and failure to utilize a court-ordered ignition interlock system in his vehicle. As of early Monday, he was still in Nyack Hospital and he is expected to be arraigned in Orangetown Court at a later time.
