An Orange County man was hit with felony drunken driving charges in connection with an early-morning incident Saturday on the Palisades Interstate Parkway in Orangetown, according to State Police.
William R. Salguero, 35, of Newburgh, was arrested at 6:33 a.m. on the southbound side of the parkway. Police said Salguero was charged with a felony because of a previous drunken driving conviction within the past 10 years.
In addition to driving while intoxicated, Salguero was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
Salguero was being held pending a hearing in Orangetown Town Court in Orangeburg.
