Orange County Man Charged with Felony DWI on Palisades Parkway

Police: Arrested in early-morning incident in Orangetown.

An Orange County man was hit with felony drunken driving charges in connection with an early-morning incident Saturday on the Palisades Interstate Parkway in Orangetown, according to State Police.

William R. Salguero, 35, of Newburgh, was arrested at 6:33 a.m. on the southbound side of the parkway. Police said Salguero was charged with a felony because of a previous drunken driving conviction within the past 10 years.

In addition to driving while intoxicated, Salguero was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

Salguero was being held pending a hearing in Orangetown Town Court in Orangeburg.
