Check of Suspicious Car In West Nyack Leads to 3 Burglary-Related Arrests

Clarkstown police: Laptops, jewelry were taken during burglaries in Stony Point, Haverstraw.

An investigation of a suspicious car spotted in West Nyack has led to the arrests of three New Jersey residents in connection with burglaries in Stony Point and Haverstraw, Clarkstown police said this afternoon.

Two men and a woman, ranging in age from 20 to 40, are being held in the Hudson County (NJ) Jail on fugitive from justice warrants and face extradiction to Rockland County on charges of criminal possession of stolen propertly.

The arrest of Jacob Bing, 20, Christine Bolitho, 26, and Christian Billings, 40, all of Jersey City, NJ, stem from a Clarkstown police officer spotting a car with New Jersey license plates that was driving slowly on Continental Drive in West Nyack at 2:30 p.m. on Monday. Sgt. Nicholas Lafasciano said the car matched the description of a vehicle that was in the area when a burglary was committed a week ago.
