2 Upstate Residents Hit with Drug Charges on Thruway in Clarkstown

Early-morning incident leads to arrests.

Two Cornell, NY, residents were hit with felony drug charges early Saturday on the New York State Thruway in Clarkstown, according to State Police.

A 1:45 p.m. incident on the Thruway northbound in West Nyack led the arrests of:

- Kadi D. Weaver, 23, of Corning.

- Casey R. Banach, 27, of Corning.

They are both charged with:

- Third-degree criminal possession of a constrolled substance.

- Criminal use of drug packaging and scales.

- Marijuana possession.

Police said they were both held pending a hearing in Clarkstown Town Court.
