18-Year-Old Gets 5 Years In Prison In Spring Valley Attack

Two victims hit with metal object, rock.

An 18-year-old from Ramapo has been sentence to five years in state prison for a 2011 attack in which two victims were beaten with a metal object and a rock, according to Rockland County District Attorney Thomas Zugibe

Anthony Heim of 33 Catamount Drive, Ramapo, was also orded by Rockland County Court Judge William K. Nelson to serve five years on post-release supervision when he gets out of prison. Hiem pleaded guilty to first-degree assault in connection with an April 21, 2011 incident in Spring Valley.

Zugibe said that in the 2:45 a.m. incident, Heim threatened a victim and other individuals with what appeared to be a pistol. Heim struck the victim in the head with a metal object twice, causing him serious physical injuries, Zugibe said.

Heim also struck another victim in the face with a rock, causing him to suffer a physical injury.
