Obituary: Robert J. Bertolacci Jr., 21, of Valley Cottage

Robert John Bertolacci Jr. of Valley Cottage died suddenly on May 12, 2012. He was 21.
Born on March 25, 1991, in Nyack, Robert graduated from Nyack High School in 2009 and was a student at Arizona State University, where he was studying Criminal Justice. Robert had plans to become a New York City Police Officer and had already been accepted into the Police Academy class of 2012.
He was an avid Giants fan, and played football for the Valley Cottage Indians and later for the Nyack Indians.
He was the son of Robert and Karen; brother of Christina and Taylor; grandson of Mary Crowley and Gloria Bertolacci. Robert is also survived by four aunts, four uncles, and 13 cousins.
Visiting is scheduled for Tuesday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the , 88 S. Broadway, Nyack, 845-358-0573. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at 10 a.m. at St. Paul's Church in Congers. Interment will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery in Rockland Lake.
