Obituary: Donald Coleman Jr., 73

Rockland County resident Donald Coleman Jr. passed away on June 26 at the age of 73.  He was born on Dec. 28 to Jessie Mae and Donald Coleman Sr.

He attended the Nyack public schools system and was known as “Goose” to his friends and acquaintances and “J.R.” to his family.

Coleman was a member of the Pilgrim Baptist Church in his youth and redevoted himself to Jesus Christ and the Church on Jan. 6 2003.

He was a state employee at the Psychiatric Center for two decades with the grounds and maintenance department.

Coleman’s sister Margaret Brown; nephew Darryl E. Brown Sr.; nieces Maureen Brown and Deborah Prayer survive him. His parents and sister Dorothy C. Tilley predecease him.
