Lucille Brennan of Valley Cottage: 100

Lucille Brennan of Valley Cottage and Yonkers died peacefully at her home on March 27th. She was one hundred years old. Lucille was born in Yonkers on February 9, 1914 to Marion and Joseph Picone. She is predeceased by twelve brothers and sisters and her beloved husband William.

She worked in the accounting department of Harcourt Brace Jovanovich Publishing Co. and revamped their expense accounting system. She was recognized by the president for her efforts.

She is survived by three daughters, Geraldine Gerencser, Diane Harkin & Elaine Brennan and six granddaughters, Anna Mazzola, Mary Shelton, Jean Korchma, Joanna Gerencser, Kristin Harkin Mulcahey and Keri Vaquero plus her loving care giver, Agnes Onza who became her fourth daughter.

She enjoyed her nine great-grandchildren, loved playing the piano and baking for her friends especially "the ladies". She was conscientious, sincere and always followed through on her commitments. She was a woman of faith and a devoted member of the St. Paul's prayer group.

Mass of Resurrection is on Monday, March 31 at 10:30am at St. Paul's Church, 82 Lake Rd, Congers NY 10920. Internment is at Gethsemane Cemetery in Rockland Lake State Park.
