Nyack Trivia: Where Was It Located?

A quick test of memory for those long-time Nyackers

I wonder how many long-time Nyack residents remember the stores, buildings and people of long ago like I do?  

I thought it might be interesting to see if others can remember where "things" were located around town. I hope readers will post their answers to my questions—and the answers should be specific in their location. (Don't just write, "it was on Main Street.")

1. We all know Nyack Buick was at 222 Main Street. But where was the Nyack Buick Auto Body Shop located?

3. For you car-buffs: where was Gambitti's Nash Rambler Garage located?

4. Any one know where the Gregory & Sherman Lumber Yard was located?

5. "Sunny" Robinson was the star band leader at Nyack's USO Club. Where was the club located?

6. Speaking of "Sunny"—he ran his own Jazz club after the war and into the 50s. Anyone know where it was located?

7. Sol Hecht and his brother ran a tire store in Nyack.. .changed the tires right on the street. Where?

8. "Bunny" Haire was a long time Nyack trustee who owned and ran a gas station in town... Know where?

9. At one time there was a shooting range in Nyack. Know where is was?

10. The best carberator man around town was Jerry Prior. Where was his garage?

11. "Beezer" Riley ran a little diner in Nyack back in the 60s. Long gone know, where was it located?

12. Harry Hoyle was the biggest plumbing contractor in Nyack for years. Where was his shop and garage?

13. Hint: close to Harry's place, Clyde Post ran a little gas station. Where?

14. is now in its third location. Where was it first located?

15. Cliquot Club Soda was made at the Cascadian Bottling Company in the area. Know where their plant was located?

16. Broadway was home to a great number of doctors. Where on Broadway did Dr. Relland have his office. (And for a bonus point, where did the Drs. Kline practice?)

17. Lou Coben operated "Lightning Lou's" bike and auto part store for decades. Where?

18. How about the location of Nyack's swankiest shoe store: Glynn's.

19. Before Manley Chevrolet moved out on Rte 59, where were they located in Nyack?

20. And finally, going back a few years: where was the Blauvelt Drug Store?
