Family Fest "Nanuet Day" Health Fair

The Family Fest Health Fair was a success. Thanks to everyone that participated in the event!

The free event was held at the Nanuet Outdoor Education Center on Saturday, June 1st, 2013. The Family Fest Health Fair provided information to the community to increase awareness of fatal health conditions, promote healthy lifestyles, and improve community health. The event featured free health screenings, interactive exhibits and hands-on workshops. Our main focus is to educate the community about fatal health conditions and preventative measures.

Participants included: American Diabetes Association; American Foundation for Suicide Prevention; Avon; Avon Walk for Breast Cancer-Cure Pink; Decarlo Chiropractic; Fidelis Care; Herbalife; HOP Health on Purpose; Hudson Health Plan; I 9 Sports; It Works!; Greater Nanuet Chamber of Commerce; Nerium; New City Chiropractic Center; New Life Chiropractic; New York Organ Donor Network; Nyack College School of Nursing; TILTLE Boxing Club; Wrap to Loose Weight; and Worldwide Community First Responder, Inc. 

Worldwide Community First Responder, Inc. shared with community members the Martin Luther King (MLK) Day of Service project “Assessing Nanuet’s Community Health” data results collected on January 19th, 2013. For more information on this project, click here.
