Health and Safety Expo Today at Provident Bank Park

Fire trucks, ambulances, safety seat inspections and more featured at carnival that's a fundraiser for the Jan & Niles Davies Learning Center at Helen Hayes Hospital.

The Jan & Niles Davies Learning Center sponsors a Fall Carnival at Provident Bank Park — Home of the Rockland Boulders — in Pomona, today and Sunday.

Today, from 12:00 to 4:00 pm, there will be a Health & Safety Expo, featuring a fire truck, ambulances, Car Seat Safety Inspections, the Convincer, and various other community health organizations.

The event is a fundraiser for the premiere early childhood care and education Center, which is located on the campus of Helen Hayes Hospital in West Haverstraw.

A Vendor Fair & Sale will take place on Sunday between 11:00 am and 4:00 pm. Dreamland Amusements is providing all carnival rides and entertainment.

The Jan & Niles Davies Learning Center provides child care and education for approximately 78 infant through pre-school age children five days per week. This year is the not-for-profit Center’s 25th anniversary. The Center is located in a unique, 9,000 square foot state-of-the-art building, which opened in 2008. Services are offered to children of hospital staff, as well as children in the community.
