Making Sense of Challenging Behavior

September 17 at 2:30pm

Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias can cause a person to act in different and unpredictable ways. Some individuals become anxious or aggressive, others repeat certain questions or gestures and many misinterpret what they hear. These types of behaviors can lead to misunderstanding, frustration and tension, particularly between the person with dementia and the caregiver.

This workshop will offer potential solutions and new ways to respond, to decrease stress and improve the experience of caregiving.
