Hud,SON! River Regional Poetry Slam - held at Sweet Envy Cupcake Shop

Sweet Envy, Nyack's new cupcake shop, is honored to house the Third ever hud,SON! river regional poetry slam ('cause poetry flows both ways) Saturday, July 12th! This will be a performance poetry competition. Poets take turns performing original poetry. Members of the auidence will be selected to help judge! Teams from Jersey City, Red Bank, White Plains and Nyack will be competing. Although the slam is limited to the teams competing, there will be a short open mic at the start of the show--anyone can sign up, first come, first served. Sign-ups begin at 6:30. Dan Roman will be guest-emceeing. This is an event you do not want to miss!

$5 will be asked at the door to help support the poets and their National Poetry Slam in Oakland, CA. 

Caution: Due to the possiblity of strong language and content, this event is for mature audiences only.
