Milk ‘n Cookies Playhouse presents Ricitos and the Three Bears - Winner of the 2005 HOLA Award for Best Musical and Design!

The award winning Latino theatre company for young audiences, SEA, Society of the Educational Arts/Sociedad Educativa de las Artes, under the artistic direction of Manuel A. Morán, is proud present their award-winning production of Ricitos y Los 3 Ositos/ Ricitos and The 3 Bears (performed in Spanish & English simultaneously).

In this spirited retelling of the familiar tale, a feisty Ricitos (Goldilocks) gets lost while wandering through the woods and stumbles across a vacant house. Her irrepressible curiosity gets her into more trouble than she's bargained for when she enters the three bears' house uninvited. Her mischievous behavior leads her on a quest to find the perfect bowl of porridge, the perfect chair, and finally, the perfect bed for a nap. Unbeknownst to her, her reckless mishaps leave a trail of clues that only serve as evidence, as the Bear family returns home to unravel this mystery. This is when the traditional elements of the original story are jazzed up with plenty of pleasant surprises, which give this rendition a fresh new charm. Free milk and cookies provided after the show.

I guess better late than never. LaCorte is serving his 4th year as Mayor and was Trustee for I thinkRead More 4 years before that. This year is the only time he has brought the idea to the village about participating in this program. He is motivated by the opportunity of getting positive press for his County Executive campaign. The village should have been involved in this program ( as well as the Americorps program) long before this. On a positive note, hopefully the Village will continue this worthwhile partnership for many years to come.
