This year's Friends & Family Charity BBQ is on Saturday September
21st from 12-6 at the James H. Anderson American Legion Post 1199, 61
Hunt Road in Orangeburg. It's only $35 ($45 at the door) for 6 hours of
live music with barbecue food, all the beer you can drink, a variety of
raffles, along with kid-friendly food, drinks, and activities - $25 for
under 21 ($30 at the door) and FREE for kids 10 and under. In addition
to the music, food, and drinks, you will be able to witness our 4th
annual amateur rib smoking contest.
All the proceeds from this
year's Charity BBQ are going to the Wounded Warrior Project. Their
vision is to foster the most successful, well-adjusted generation of
wounded service members in our nation's history. The Wounded Warrior
Project's purpose is to raise awareness and enlist the public's aid for
the needs of injured service members, help injured service members aid
and assist each other, and provide unique, direct programs and services
to meet the needs of injured service members. We look forward to seeing
