Industrial Style Hotel Fitting for Former Factory

Glen Coben of New York hospitality design firm Glen & Co. is designing the new industrial-inspired, loft-style boutique hotel that's going up in Nyack near the site of last month's brush fire.

NYLO Nyack is scheduled to open in summer 2015. A groundbreaking ceremony was held in June.

“We are so excited to have NYLO Hotels join the wonderful Nyack community,” Mayor Jen White told Lodging Magazine. “We welcome them with open arms and we look forward to introducing NYLO’s guests to not just the beautiful new hotel but to all that Nyack has to offer from our charming shops and restaurants to historical landmarks, incredible scenery, and our friendly and creative residents.”

The project developers for NYLO Nyack are Michael Yanko and Kerry Wellington, principals of WY Management, a boutique development house headquartered in Nyack, Lodging Magazine said.

The former factory will yield 132 rooms and 4,000 square feet of meeting space as well as 184-seat restaurant, bar, lounge.

The guestrooms will include custom-designed pieces and views of the Hudson River.

"As the creative force behind this brand, Glen and his team are looking forward to bringing a local, artistic, and authentic design approach to the property," said Coben's publicist, Jana Montero of UpspringPR.
