"Oceans, Rivers and the Fish that Swim" Exhibit Opening

Piermont Straus is a gallery and bookstore located in Piermont, N.Y., just 15 miles north of Manhattan.

We are pleased to announce our first exhibition, “Oceans, Rivers, and the Fish that Swim,” which opens on September 17 and runs through November 3. Please join us for an opening celebration including art, literature and wine on Saturday, October 22. The evening will feature a book signing of Four Fish by author Paul Greenberg. Our gallery hours are 11am to 7pm on Saturdays and Sundays, or by appointment.

Piermont Straus is owned and operated by artists living in the Hudson River Valley. Our mission is to bring artists and writers together to celebrate the history, art and culture of Piermont and the Hudson River Valley.

Our first exhibition includes over ten visual artists, honoring those who have lived on the shores of the Hudson River and subsisted on the fish that swim there. It is exciting to see the river slowly coming back to health. We will be featuring painters, writers, and photographers as well as painting, books, photographs, and antiques for sale associated with our theme and, of course, with Piermont itself.
