People to People, MI-BOX Triple Drive For Holidays

They're collecting toys, food and coats for the holiday season

 

People to People, Rockland’s largest food pantry, and MI-BOX Mobile Storage of West Haverstraw, areonce again asking Rocklanders to help less fortunate families in the area with the launch of their “TripleDrive” – collecting toys, food and coats for the holiday season.

MI-BOX, in support of People to People, is opening up its headquarters in West Haverstraw for donationsto Rockland’s needy. People are encouraged to bring new, unwrapped toys (for boys and girls ages 2-14), new or gently used coats, and various non-perishable food items to the MI-BOX office located at 8Carol Avenue in West Haverstraw, NY. Items can be dropped off at the MI-BOX office Mondays-Fridaysbetween the hours of 9 am and 5 pm. Those who have items to donate who cannot make it to the MI-BOX office during those hours are encouraged to call to make an appointment.

The toys and coats will help fill up People to People’s “Joy Store!” which provides new toys and clothingto area families. In particular, People to People needs new toys to give to boys and girls ages 2-14.Items such as soft toys, dolls, sports games, scrapbooks, art and craft kits, action figures, toy trucks,building games, musical and educational toys, and children’s books are always welcome. As winter is fastapproaching, new coats, hats, and gloves are certainly needed. In addition to the clothing and toys, there isalso still a great need for non-perishable food.

“We are confident Rocklanders will come out in high numbers and help us out again this year. We expectto deliver even more food, toys and coats than we did last year,” said Lauren Schroeder, MarketingManager, MI-BOX. “We want to do our part in helping out the less fortunate and additionally victims ofHurricane Sandy.”
