Orangetown Tax Cap Override Hearing; Common Core Parent Seminar

1) The Orangetown Town Council will hold a public hearing regarding a local law that would allow the board to exceed the state tax cap for the 2014 budget as part of its regular meeting 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. Read more here

2) There will be a K-5 Parent workshop on the Common Core learning standards from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at William O. Schaefer Elementary School in Tappan. The session will provide information to help parents provide support at home for their children as they adapt to the new standards.
