Orangetown Budget Part of Busy Meeting Night

1. The Nyack Public Schools School Board will vote on officially accepting the results of the $26.4 million bond referendum, which was approved by voters Oct. 29, as part of a meeting 7:30 p.m. at the Hilltop administration building. Read more here

2. The Orangetown Council could adopt a 2014 budget as early as tonight, though the board has until Nov. 19. There is a public hearing scheduled for 8:10 p.m. Tuesday as part of a regular town board meeting that starts at 7:30 p.m. in Orangetown Town Hall. 

3. Weather: The National Weather Service says the overnight rain mixed with snow will end, leaving the afternoon clear and cold. The high may hit 40.
